Three Projects You Can Do with a Clothesline

The clothesline does a good job of doing what it's supposed to do a hang clothes. But the clothesline can also be used for some other great projects as well. Here are three great ideas.

  1. Use a clothesline to display your photos and artwork. Attach a clothesline along a wall. Clip your favorite photos or artwork and you have an instant interchangeable gallery.
  2. Use a clothesline to hang curtains. Secure the ends of the clothesline to hooks on the edge of the window frame. Using painted wooden clothespins, attach fabric panels to complete the look.
  3. Use a clothesline to hang outdoor lighting. Attach a clothesline between two posts outdoors. Hang some colorful lanterns and you'll have instant outdoor lighting.

Using Household Cleaning Products For Crystal Clear Windows

Getting your windows to look crystal clear might seem like a bigger task than it really is. With a few household cleaning products and the right technique, you can have your windows looking spotless in no time. Here's what you need to do:

  • Gather the following household cleaning products: bucket of warm water, cloth, glass cleaner, and a rubber-edged squeegee.
  • For hard to reach areas, have an extension arm on hand to attach to your squeegee.
  • First, dampen windows with the warm water and wipe off excess dirt.
  • Then, spray glass cleaner onto the surface of your window.
  • Bring the squeegee to the upper corner of the window and work your way down in smooth strokes.
  • Repeat the method going top to bottom, taking care to overlap your strokes.
  • Finish off by wiping windows dry with the cloth.

To prolong the life and look of your small kitchen appliances, you just need a little regular upkeep. Here are some ways to make sure one of the most common small kitchen appliances - the toaster - stays looking and working its best.

  • Pull out the crumb tray and dump the pieces into the sink.
  • Take a damp paper towel or cloth to wipe up the crumbs.
