- Use a clothesline to hang curtains. Secure the ends of the clothesline to hooks on the edge of the window frame. Using painted wooden clothespins, attach fabric panels to complete the look.
- Use a clothesline to hang outdoor lighting. Attach a clothesline between two posts outdoors. Hang some colorful lanterns and you'll have instant outdoor lighting.

- Gather the following household cleaning products: bucket of warm water, cloth, glass cleaner, and a rubber-edged squeegee.
- For hard to reach areas, have an extension arm on hand to attach to your squeegee.
- First, dampen windows with the warm water and wipe off excess dirt.
- Then, spray glass cleaner onto the surface of your window.
- Bring the squeegee to the upper corner of the window and work your way down in smooth strokes.
- Repeat the method going top to bottom, taking care to overlap your strokes.
- Finish off by wiping windows dry with the cloth.
